Assembled system

The Assunta 75 system consists of a motor connected to two belt shafts. Two belts run over these belt shafts, which are attached to the bottom door panel by means of belt clips. The doors are guided upwards via the special guide blocks which run in the milled grooves in the side walls.

What are the dimensions of the Assunta control cabinet?

Depth = 170 mm (handle included).

Can the electrical cabinet be placed in the technical area?

This is strongly discouraged. If a problem occurs while the doors are at the top, there is no way to intervene. After all, the control cabinet won’t be accessible! It will then be necessary to loosen the belts of the bottom panel in order to remove the panels from the technical area.

Can the Assunta system be connected to home automation?

This is perfectly possible. Your home automation can be connected to the inputs for the push buttons. Make sure you use 'dry' contacts, as the common terminal of the connector is live. Set a pulse duration of 0.2 - 0.5 seconds.

What is the length of the cables between the motor and the control cabinet?

The length of the cables is 4 m. Should this still be too short, the connection can be extended by means of a separately available extension cable set, also with a length of 4 m. This will bring the total length to 8 m.

My Assunta panel(s) is/are not at the bottom or does/do not move(s) down. Moving upward does not cause any problems.

There is likely a problem with the safety rail. This must of course be connected, but it must also function properly. Its operation can best be checked via the LEDs on the circuit board in the control cabinet. The LED circled in red should light up if the safety rail hangs freely.

My Assunta panel(s) is/are not at the bottom or does/do not move(s) down. Moving upward does not cause any problems.

You may have already tried with a RESET (disconnecting the power cable, wait a while and plug it back in). For some reason, the panels probably didn't stop at the bottom, and the motor continued to run until the panels were mechanically stopped at the top. At this point, it is a question of getting the panels back down and letting the belts unroll and then let them run down once until the doors once again roll up correctly. Forcing the panels to move can be done using the small push buttons on the circuit board. Normally, FWD is up and REV is down, but since the belts did not roll up properly, FWD must be pressed (and hold) to move the doors down. Let the doors run until the belts regain their correct position. Now you can once again use the 'normal' red push buttons.

The ground fault circuit interrupter fails during the installation of the Assunta control cabinet.

The control cabinet of your Assunta system is equipped with a frequency converter. This may generate a small loss in current at start-up. If your electrical installation's ground fault circuit interrupter has limited capacity or is excessively sensitive, it may switch off the voltage when switching on the Assunta control cabinet. The only solution is to install a better suitable ground fault circuit interrupter.

How do I calculate the theoretical length of the follower bracket?

The exact additional length (L) of the follower bracket is calculated as follows:
L = sum of the thicknesses of all panels (including the fixed panel)
  + number of moving panels x 10
  + 9 mm
  - thickness of the panel to which the bracket is attached.

The set decelerations always occur at different times.

There is likely something wrong with the pulse counter on the motor. The pulse counter does not consistently receive the signals.

Can the lights (in the Assunta cabinet) be switched on and off when the cabinet is open?

For the Comfort version, optional contacts are available on the control cabinet. Lighting or home automation can be connected to it. (max. 12A) The contacts are controlled together as your cabinet opens or closes. Below you will find a table explaining the switching conditions. The illustration shows the wiring diagram for the connection.

The Assunta panels of the cabinet made to my wishes should be in the same plane as the adjacent revolving doors.

This is referred to as a ‘surface mounted' configuration. The panels protrude over a distance (Y) from the body of the cabinet. This allows the revolving doors to rest on the side wall(s) of the body thus concealing them. You can select this configuration using the order form or the drawing request. You only need to specify the depth and the Y value.

The frequency inverter in the control cabinet displays the error: E012.

This error code is displayed when the motor was forced to operate at excessive force (overcurrent). This means that either a mechanical blockage occurred during opening or that your panels are too heavy for the motor. Check the entire cabinet for mechanical blockages. If no blockage is found, your panels are likely to be too heavy. You can opt for a more powerful motor, to this end, contact us for more information. The error code can be cleared by pressing the red RESET button for 3 seconds.

The system always stops when moving upwards.

When the Comfort motor must pull too hard due to the weight of the panels or a mechanical blockage, it will obviously stop working. This may be the cause of your problem. Check the entire cabinet for mechanical blockages. If no blockage is found, your panels are likely to be too heavy. If necessary, calculate how much they theoretically weigh. If this exceeds the load capacity of the motor (75 kg), you will either need to opt for lighter panels or a more powerful motor. Please contact us for the options. You can reset the system by performing a 'hard' reset (Disconnect the power supply momentarily from the control cabinet).

The system worked perfectly in the workshop, but once at the customer's, it didn't work anymore.

The Comfort system remembers the deceleration points and the end points are meticulous. It is, of course, sometimes possible for the dimensions of the cabinet of the customer to vary slightly from those in the workshop. Solving this problem will require a complete reset of the deceleration points.
